Our Evolution - HIP Edmonton 2016

Managing Principal Architect Sherri Shorten founded the company in 2000 and registered the practice in 2006. In 2016, SAS Architecture embraced a deeper commitment to sustainable design, housing innovation, and climate action. That same year, we launched Housing Innovation Partnerships Edmonton (HIP Edmonton), a research and design initiative advancing new housing models to support Canada's National Housing Strategy.

Our integrated project delivery and visioning approach ensures community voices are woven into every step of the design process, leading to vibrant, well-received developments that reflect local needs and values.
